Filtering your email accounts

When you use Cloudmark DesktopOne in basic mode, you can filter one email account at a time. You use the Accounts window to select the email account you want to filter.

How to filter an email account

  1. In the system tray, right-click the Cloudmark logo.

    The pop-up menu appears.

  2. Select Accounts....

    The Accounts window opens. One account may already be displayed here, if you have one configured in Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, or Windows Mail. If it is already being filtered, then it is highlighted in green. If not, you can click Turn On Filtering to filter this account, or proceed to step 3 to select a different account.

  3. Click Change Account....

    The New Account window appears. It displays a list of email accounts that are already configured on this computer.

    • To filter an account that is already configured, select it in the list.
    • To filter another account, select "I have another account" and enter your email address and password.
  4. Click Next.

    If you selected an account that is already configured, then you are finished. If selected "I have another account", then proceed to the next step.

  5. Enter your server settings.

    If you are unsure, consult your Internet service provider or your system administrator.

  6. Click Next.

    DesktopOne tests the settings you entered to verify that they are correct.

  7. Click Finished.

    The account you configured is now enabled for filtering.
