Configuring your firewall settings

If your computer is behind a firewall, you must enter your proxy server settings in order to connect to the Cloudmark service. Your network administrator or Internet service provider can give you the appropriate connection settings to enter.

How to enter your connection settings

  1. In the system tray, right-click the Cloudmark logo.

    The pop-up menu appears.

  2. Select Accounts....

    The Accounts window opens.

  3. Click Open Advanced Settings....

    The Settings window appears.

  4. In the Cloudmark Connection Settings box, select one of the following:
    • Do not use a proxy server
    • Use same settings as Internet Explorer

      If you have already entered your firewall settings in Internet Explorer, you can select this option to use those settings.

    • Use custom settings

      Enter the hostname or IP address of your HTTP proxy server and the port number. If you are unsure, consult your Internet service provider or your system administrator.
