Configuring POP3 server information

When you select a POP3 account for filtering, DesktopOne automatically detects your server's settings and establishes a connection. Generally, you do not need to do anything further. However, if your email provider's POP3 server information changes or if DesktopOne is not able to automatically configure the account, then you can configure this information manually.

How to configure POP3 server information

  1. Open the Accounts window.

    See Using the Accounts window.

  2. Next to your POP3 account, click Configure....

    The account settings window appears.

  3. Click the General tab.
  4. Enter your POP3 server's information.

    If you are unsure, consult your Internet service provider or your system administrator. You can click Test Settings... to verify that the settings you entered result in a successful connection between DesktopOne and the server.

  5. Click OK.
