Configuring options for an email account

When you select an account for filtering, you can configure the following:

How to select folders to scan automatically

  1. Open the Accounts window.

    See Using the Accounts window.

  2. Next to your Mail, Outlook, or Thunderbird account, click Configure....

    The account settings window appears.

  3. Click the General tab.
  4. In the folder list, select the checkbox next to each folder you want DesktopOne to scan automatically. Deselect the checkbox next to any folder you do not want scanned.
  5. Click OK.

How to select the spam detection action

  1. Open the Accounts window.

    See Using the Accounts window.

  2. Next to your Mail, Outlook, or Thunderbird account, click Configure....

    The account settings window appears.

  3. Click the General tab.
  4. In the Detection Actions box, select the desired action.

    The following actions are available:

    • move to Spam folder in default account
    • move to Spam folder in each account
    • move to Deleted Items folder in each account
    • move to a specified folder
    • delete the message permanently

    Regardless of the action you select, you can also select "Mark spam messages as read".

    • purge spam permanently after a specified number of days
    • mark spam as read
  5. Click OK.
