Configuring Folders

When you select local folders for filtering, you can configure the following:

• which folders to scan automatically
• what action to take when spam is detected

How to select folders to scan automatically:

1. Open the Accounts control panel.

   See Using the Accounts control panel.

2. Next to your local folders account, click Configure....

   The Account Settings window appears.

3. Click the General tab.
4. In the folder list, select the checkbox next to each folder you want DesktopOne to scan automatically. Deselect the checkbox next to any folder you do not want scanned.
5. Click OK.

How to select the spam detection action

1. Open the Accounts control panel.

   See Using the Accounts control panel.

2. Next to your local folders account, click Configure....

   The Account Settings window appears.

3. Click the General tab.
4. In the Detection Actions box, select the desired action.

   The following actions are available for local folders:

   • move to a specified folder

     If you select this action, you can also choose to purge spam from the folder after a specified number of days.

   • delete the message instantly and permanently
5. Click OK.
