Manually scanning a folder for spam and phishing

If you have an email account or folder that you prefer not to scan automatically (as explained in Automatically scanning for spam and phishing), you can scan it manually whenever you like.

You can also select any group of messages for manual scanning.

How to scan a folder manually

  1. In your email application, select the email folder or messages that you want to scan.
  2. Open the Cloudmark menu.
  3. Select Scan Now.

    Cloudmark DesktopOne scans the messages, searching for spam and phishing and moving those messages to your spam folder.

    This may take some time, depending on the number of messages in the folder or selection. A few messages may take just a few seconds, while a folder with thousands of messages may require several minutes. When scanning is complete, the progress window closes automatically.
